Tradition: Game nights
Easter weekend was a fun-filled time with Mom and Dad. It has been several months since we have hosted my parents and we spent the crazy weather weekend playing games and of course, some girl time...scrapbooking! We love to have them visit and love spending time with them! Lots of laughing, eating, napping and just enjoying each other!
Mom quickly got the hang of using my electronic cutter and other toys. Her pages were really nice....inspired me!
The weather was nasty....rainy and cold...so we decided it was time to break out the Wii games. The popular games were in the Wii Resort package! 100 pin bowling! Greg was the champion with a wicked curve ball!
Dad got the hang of this pretty quickly and didn't stop to give us women any sympathy!
Then mom had to try the cycling program on the Wii Fit Plus....it's a lot harder than you think!
We spent an evening playing the newest Clue game. It's a twist on the traditional game and players can actually be murdered during the game. It still befuddles us how, after 2.5 hours of playing this game, no one won because eventually we were all murdered!

In hot water!
It never has failed us....Murphy's law, that is! We finally were making significant progress on the master bathroom.....and then it happened. Our water heater was putting forth green gunk! It was, however, hot! So we explored the option of a tankless water heater, but again Murphy decided to make his stay a little longer! We found out our gas line was not big enough and it would be well over $15,000 to put in the correct lines. Soooooo....we decided an energy efficient, albeit electric heater, was the way to go. It would take many, many years to make up the cost difference! So once the old water heater was out, we decided a new floor should go in. I did not argue at all to keep the pink linoleum! We put in tile linoleum squares and thanks to Ryan and Aimee's input and experience, we found that we accomplished the new floor (or at least the part where the water heater and laundry unit were) in less than a day! We showed Mr. Murphy the door and told him STAY OUT!!!! Whew, now it's back to the master bath!
Yes, we are back in hot water! It wasn't too bad to be without it for less than 24 hours.
We are planning on finishing the laundry room once the master bath is done. Can't wait! (Please sense the sarcasm!)

Moving again......
Yes, the subject line is correct. Greg came home last night and told me he is accepting a job at La Merced Hospital near Quito, Ecuador. He found out about it after exploring the area. I guess there was an article on MSN that said Ecuador was the place to retire due to the low cost of living and great opportunities. I don't really know how I feel about moving to a foreign country but I do have some time to adjust to this news. He plans on flying down in June to check out housing and surrounding areas. I am giving him my list of must-haves: it can't be in a high crime area and I want a house - no apartment! The move should happen by September, we're thinking!
Rosetta Stone will be making some money as we need to learn Spanish. At least that's a language we can use when we come back to the States. (Greg is planning on working there until he retires in 5 years.)
Stay tuned for more info on this newest adventure!!

March Madness!
What was supposed to be a Wii game (or so Greg thought when Ayden asked him to play hockey ball!) turned out to be a totally different game! And the rules were "according to Ayden." That meant they were constantly changing to suit the moment!
Greg is ready for the next shot....
Getting set up....
Here it comes!

Still in training
Update: The new computer is up and running and the learning curve is in full swing. I finally have my photoshop installed and hopefully working like it should. Tonight is my computer group and hopefully they will answer a couple of my more pressing concerns. I have LOTS of pictures to update, edit, and post! I do have to say this working gets in the way, though, of my hobbies! Such is life right now! More to come.............

Love...18 different ways!
Valentine's Day: a day of love, romance, flowers and being together! Greg surprised me with a bouquet of beautiful flowers-18 roses with lilies! They grace my table and make me smile every time I walk into the room. He's the sweetest, best Valentine I could ever want! Love you lots, babe!
