Day two arrives with a surprise (actually it was still day one!)...Papa Greg came up to help and see the
grandkids. He brought Rusty and the kids were thrilled with both of them! Wyatt's favorite place to climb is on the dining room chairs...what a cutie!
Meysa chose a simple hairstyle...single ponytail...YEA!!!!

Lauryn wanted two pigtails....not so easy...but the bows are in!
Ayden played his Excite Bots
Wii game every morning...he was quite good with it.

After breakfast, we decided to take a walk and got everyone out the door. Greg and
Ayden threw the football as we made our way to the path. It was very cold....the rain had frozen on the trees and we walked on crunchy grass.

Papa Greg took his turn with the stroller so I could help the girls with Rusty.
The kids found a tree with icicles and had to taste them. It was really a wintery-type of morning with the ice and foggy weather.

Our adventure for the day was Pt. Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. We ate lunch in the car ....too cold to have a picnic.....and then spent the next 4 hours exploring. I can tell you, having 4 kids to look out after (Greg stayed home with Rusty) was challenging but way fun. I was on my "A-Game!"
We discovered the kids' zoo first; the girls wanted to groom the goats and after seeing how much fun they were having......
Ayden joined in! He's not one for touching things but was fascinated by the goats and did a great job!

Off to the exhibits. I love this picture. Lauryn is looking for one of the animals and I managed to catch her reflection in the glass.

In the aquarium, they had a robot you could control inside the tank.
Ayden decided he could operate this and we fed the machine its allotted $ and away he went. Wyatt got in on some action as well!
Meysa and Lauryn loved the walrus swimming by. They laughed every time they swam by, because they were upside down!
We ended up back at the kids' play area at the end of the day. I let Wyatt out of the stroller and the kids played hard on all the toys. We had a great time! But I was quite tired and ready to head for home....where there was still dinner to get and baths to be had! All in all .... a very good day!
