Yep, that's right! We celebrated our wedding anniversary in style. We combined it with our date weekend and had a wonderful evening. We chose "sunsets" as our photography topic and headed up to the winery nearby. Willamette Valley Vineyard is set on a spectacular hill overlooking the coastal range and valley. The crab and clam chowder festival was in full force so after enjoying our crab and chowder, we headed out to the deck to catch the sunset.

Greg is patiently waiting for the sun to set; I'm just trying to stay warm. It had been a nice day with lots of sunshine but once the sun started to go down, so did the temps! It became quite chilly quite fast!

The winery is large and very pretty at night with all the lights on. We've never been up in the tower but what a view this must have! The start of the sunset: right about 5pm
15 minutes later....the sky became quite blue. Not as many color variations as we were hoping for but we did learn that we have a lot to learn!!! This photography stuff is fun but can be frustrating too! It will interesting to see how we do by the end of the year!
I love that our cameras have timers. We don't rely on others anymore and can just capture the moments. Happy Anniversary, babe! Can't wait for more!

Happy Anniversary!! We thought of you guys on Thursday. I just read a great book about exposures called interestingly enough, Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson. Very easy read but really a lot of good info. Glad you had a great time looking at the sunsets.
I want to know more about your dark side post!! Don't hold out on me!!
