Our date weekend for September had some changes due to weather! We had planned to hike on Mt. Rainier and of course, Murphy's law was in full force: Labor Day weekend and rain, rain, rain! We started out that morning, ready to head up to the mountain, but the rain was just more than we wanted to deal with! So we quickly changed plans and headed up to Pike's Place in Seattle. We had a great time and enjoyed ourselves in spite of the rain. One thing Northwesterners are known for: rain can't keep you indoors (but it did keep us off the mountain!)

The famous fish throwers! Not many takers when we were there but it still is fun to watch them work!

I love the Seattle waterfront and the busyness of it all! We enjoyed watching the ships, boats and cruise ships.

Beth and Bryan were great hosts; Bryan has an office near Pike's Market so he knew of great places to go and eat - we found a wonderful Thai restaurant and stuffed ourselves!

I have to say these date weekends are wonderful and we are really enjoying all aspects of it.
